2009 Foreign Ag Subsidy Handbook
Compared to other major agricultural producers—both developed and developing countries—America ranks near the bottom of the subsidization and tariff scale, according to a global subsidy handbook compiled by Texas Tech University. The handbook contains a country-by-county and commodity-by-commodity breakdown of foreign farm programs and tariffs.
America's farmers are hopeful that this encyclopedia of the trade distorting tactics used by our competitors will help the general public better understand that weakening U.S. farm policies would equate to our unilateral disarmament in the global marketplace.
